Case Study 1

Overview

Antioch Music is a collective of worship leaders and musicians from Antioch Community Church in Waco, TX and its worldwide movement. Over the past 20 years they have recorded projects including live albums like It Is Finished, which topped the iTunes Christian & Gospel charts, and acoustic projects such as Unchanging and The Underground Sessions. Throughout the years one thing has never changed: they love Jesus and they are not afraid to show it through raw, passionate worship.

"DESERTLAND" is Antioch Music’s first full-length studio album.

All art direction, graphic design, photography, and social media campaign were created by me.

Approach

In 2021 Antioch Music produced it’s first full-length studio album, including two singles “The Joy of Surrender” and “Shadow of Your Wings”. In addition to the songs the music group wanted to pair it with an equally beautiful, visual campaign to go along with the music.

How do we create a fully-immersed, integrated visual experience beyond just a quickly designed album cover? This question took our team on a journey to the desert landscape you will see below in an effort to truly capture the essence of the lyrics and heart behind the album in a real and authentic way. Our goal was scale, isolation, beauty, wilderness, and light - desertland.

Results

A fully immersive campaign from beginning to end: album cover art, to Spotify canvas videos, to geo targeted ads and community engagement, to a social media campaign in a coordinated marketing effort to reinforce and assist the music groups full length album.
